Field Trips
SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS ARE A FUN WAY TO LEARN ABOUT AGRICULTURE AND TEAM WORK!
The entire group can benefit from the many parallels between the Corn Maze and life: Losing your way, working as a team, making the right choices, peer pressure, and so many more. Our maze links local agriculture with a good source of “clean” and rewarding fun.
Sweetfields Farm offers school field trips for students in all grade levels. Trips can sometimes even be customized to fit your lesson plans. Trips are available during our spring and fall seasons.
A Quick Overview On Our Field Trip Requirements
- Field trips must be scheduled at least one business week in advance. Dates are subject to availability. Try to book far enough in advance to secure your day we do book up.
- Field trips must take place during a weekday /school hours.
- We require a minimum of one adult for every 5 students
- Payment for field trip in due upon arrival and must be paid with one check.
- No other discounts may be used with field trip rates.
Please be aware that this type of field trip is an outdoor activity. If bad weather conditions fall on your scheduled day your trip will either need to be canceled or rescheduled.
******These trips are designed for public and private school groups. We are working toward a home school field trip day please send us a email if your home school group is interested.******
The farm can be a difficult place for those suffering from asthma, or severe inhalant allergies and allergic reactions to bee stings. Therefore, we ask that you be aware of your students’ medical needs before their arrival. Please note that perfumes and fragrances tend to attract bees. For the summer season please be sure to bring plenty of sun screen. We do not administer medical attention or offer medical supplies. Therefore, we ask that you travel with a first-aid kit.
